Could you do it so that the player can choose from different models of pokedexes (i.e. the first pokedex, the new pokedex, and maybe even some custom pokedex models), or perhaps that you start off with the original first season pokedex, and then upgrade it somehow as you progress?

Awesome. It would be cool if you could do something like in the show, girl = pink pokedex and boy = red pokedex? It might be easy. Just recolor? (Don't mind me, it's probably harder then just recoloring it.)
